The Basics

I am a devoted follower of Jesus Christ whom God has gifted to preach, teach, lead, and administrate in the context of the local church. I believe that God has formed in me the desire, abilities, and character necessary to serve Him by leading and shepherding His church. My experience has enabled me to learn and implement biblically sound ministerial skills and strategies that equip church members to reach a lost world and to edify one another in order to attain maturity in Christ. My passion is to faithfully preach and teach the Scriptures and to develop and mentor people through genuine relationships, biblical counseling, spiritual care, and sound education in a way that is faithful to Scripture, glorifying to God, and beneficial to people. I am married to my beautiful and godly wife, Melissa. She is my true friend and partner in life and ministry. We are the proud parents of our sons, Brady and Noah.

What God's Doing Right now

At the present time, God has given me the privilege to serve as the Lead Pastor at Lakewood Baptist Church. Lakewood is a warm and friendly church that boldly and clearly believes, preaches, and lives the gospel of Jesus Christ. We stand for the truth of God's Word and exhibit its transforming power in our lives by the grace of God. We believe that the church that goes is the church that grows (Matt. 28:18-20).
